But Ben, I’m not the only one with this problem. Forums and Youtube are full of people reporting the same thing. So I couldn’t have written it was an isolated incident for me because I know it’s a wider problem.
In fact I very clearly explain how others have had the same problem and some people have given in and paid Apple to repair a laptop inside warranty because ‘once a computer leaves the factory if the screen breaks it’s always the users fault’.
And no one expects them to replace every cracked screen ‘no questions asked’. Trust me. I didn’t walk in off the street randomly and say ‘this is cracked, give me another or I’m going write a rant about it’.
Obviously it’s not a problem with every single machine of this model that left the factory. No company would be that stupid to release a product when they could tell instantly they all had faults.
But it’s not just me. It’s a wider problem. Which is why it’s now acknowledged as a fault.
