Thanks Andrew. I used Windows for many years from 3.0 up to … I think Windows 7 was the last I used myself on any regular basis. But I have to help staff and friends with their Windows machines so I have used newer versions too. I simply don’t like it. It’s hard to explain easily but for a start decades, literally, of driver problems, BSODs, etc etc really turned me off.

Plus I use Mac-specific apps like Logic Pro X and Final Cut Pro etc.

I’ve not used the surface devices, no. I believe they are decent.

There may be an update to this story soon. An interesting one given how long it’s been since I wrote it, but I want to wait until the outcome before writing it!
