that would be ok. historically to run windows you had to have some level of guidelines and specification to work to (ie, it had to run on an x86 and not an ARM). add in certified drivers and job done. it is possible, it’s just whether they want to or not. their argument was always ‘we make the hardware and the software so we can guarantee it works’ — but that’s now proven to be the bollocks it always was (lots of peripherals that need drivers aren’t made by Apple).
